LiteFinance is an offshore-regulated broker with 55 forex pairs and a range of international stocks as well as a smaller list of indices, commodities and cryptocurrencies. With support for the MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 platforms as well as a proprietary mobile app, there is a good selection of tools available. The broker offers a Classic commission-free account as well as an ECN account with spreads starting from zero and a commission per lot.

Established in 2008, Markets.com is a long-standing, multi-regulated broker with oversight from the CySEC and FSCA. It offers unique features to track hedge fund moves and insider trades, while providing stock signals to alert traders to market opportunities. Its choice of accounts (Classic to Professional) caters to all levels of active trader. 72.3% of retail accounts lose money.

CFDs are leveraged products. Trading in CFDs related to foreign exchange, commodities, indices and other underlying variables, carries a high level of risk and can result in the loss of all of your investment. As such, CFDs may not be suitable for all investors. You should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose.

Comment by Reviewer
"LiteFinance will suit traders seeking high leverage on forex, stocks, commodities, indices and cryptocurrencies. The social trading system will also suit newer investors looking to learn from seasoned traders." "Markets.com is best suited to retail investors who trade frequently but don’t want to calculate commissions, thanks to its spread-only pricing (EUR/USD around 1.3 pips). It especially appeals to short-term traders who value fast execution, flexible asset choice spanning 2,200+ instruments and proprietary tools like hedge fund confidence indices and insider trade alerts."
Pros
  • Great trading platform support with MT4, MT5 and a proprietary app
  • Decent suite of extra tools and features including a VPS
  • Fast and reliable customer support based on testing
  • High leverage available up to 1:500
  • Low starting deposit of $50
  • Automated trading via APIs
  • Good range of forex pairs
  • Social trading service
  • Markets.com’s Hedge Fund Confidence and Insider Trading tools pulls SEC filings into the dashboard within 24 hours of disclosure, helping to spot fund moves and C-suite buys before most retail newsfeeds updated.
  • Within the 2,200+ CFDs, Markets.com offers thematic baskets like the Warren Buffett Blend and Cannabis Blend, which behaved like ready-made mini-ETFs during testing, saving the work of balancing weights manually.
  • Switching between the proprietary web platform (great for alerts and quick analysis) and MT5 (strong for algorithmic EAs) was smooth in our tests; positions synced across desktop, web, and mobile without gaps or re-quotes.
  • Markets.com provides commission-free trading on most assets with spreads starting from around 0.6 pips on major forex pairs, making it cost-effective for casual traders.
Cons
  • Not overseen by any top-tier regulator
  • Some complaints online about difficulties withdrawing funds
  • Wide spreads on the Classic account
  • Does not accept US traders
  • During sign-up, we hit unclear account type explanations and got stuck in an email verification loop that locked us out for an hour - way less streamlined than other brokers we’ve tested.
  • While CySEC and FSCA oversight is solid, the SVGFSA entity offers 1:500 leverage under a light-touch framework, meaning protections like compensation schemes and strict conduct rules lag behind the strictest regulatory standards.
  • The proprietary web platform felt a bit basic once we pushed into advanced charting with fewer drawing/indicator options than full TradingView or MetaTrader.
  • Inactivity charges kick in after just 3 months, while variable spreads are wider than top ECN brokers during testing, which may deter day traders and high-frequency traders.

Forex Trading
With 55 forex pairs and cross pairs available, including a good selection of minors and exotics, LiteFinance is a good option for forex traders. Although it falls short of some competitors who offer 70 or 80+ forex assets, it offers excellent trading platforms and tools including a VPS. Markets.com offers over 50 major, minor and exotic currency pairs. The range is around the industry average, though spreads are fairly competitive, starting from 0.6 pips for EUR/USD. There’s also an excellent range of tools and education, including forex calculators and trading videos.

Cryptocurrency
LiteFinance offers a growing selection of 70+ cryptocurrencies, mostly paired with USD. The list includes some lesser-known tokens with lower market capitalization. However, traders will not directly buy and own the crypto tokens they trade. Markets.com’s crypto offering covers 30+ major coins, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin, with leverage options that vary by region but stay more conservative than on forex. Execution was generally smooth in our tests, though spreads were noticeably wider during high volatility, making it better for swing trades than ultra-short-term scalping.
