This means that FreshForex is not subject to the stringent requirements or investor protection mechanisms mandated by top-tier regulators, such as the UK’s FCA, Australia’s ASIC, or the EU’s CySEC.

While FreshForex claims to maintain segregated accounts and some degree of internal control, these statements lack independent verification and enforcement, increasing counter-party risk for traders.

FreshForex’s account offerings look attractive on the surface due to their ultra-low barriers to entry, high available leverage (up to 1:2000), and bonus promotions ($50 no-deposit bonus at the time of writing).

Demo Accounts

FreshForex offers a free demo account, allowing you to practice with virtual funds using MT4, MT5, and the MT5 Web Trader platform.

You are free to select your preferred account type (Classic or ECN), the level of leverage (up to 1:1000), account currency, and the starting account balance to mirror real trading conditions.

However, when clicking ‘Open Demo Account’ on the FreshForex website, I noticed it does not immediately open a demo account.

Instead, it registers you on the site first. You then need to log into your account dashboard and manually create the demo account by selecting the platform and account type. This extra step is less convenient compared to brokers that provide instant demo access.

Compared to the best brokers we’ve tested, FreshForex holds up well in terms of asset variety, particularly with its extensive crypto offerings and regional stock CFDs, including those for Russian companies.

However, category leaders like IG boast even broader market access, including futures, bonds, options, cash and volatility indices, and a much larger selection of global equities.

Fees & Costs

FreshForex’s fee structure varies by account type, with Classic accounts featuring fixed spreads starting around 2.0 pips and no commission. In comparison, Market Pro accounts offer floating spreads starting from 0.9 pips, as well as commission-free trading. ECN accounts offer raw spreads starting at 0.0 pips but charge a commission of approximately $3 per lot, round-trip.

Withdrawal fees range from 0.1% to 5%, which can be a drawback compared to leading brokers that often waive these costs. Deposits, however, are typically free, and there are no inactivity fees.

From hands-on testing, FreshForex’s spreads and commissions on ECN accounts are competitive for high-volume traders, especially given the low commission rate relative to the tight spreads.

The web-based MT5 option offers flexible access across devices without requiring downloads, making it convenient for traders on the move.

However, FreshForex does not offer a proprietary trading platform tailored for beginners, unlike some top brokers, such as eToro, which provide user-friendly, simplified interfaces and integrated educational content.

Additionally, there is no support for copy trading or trading on the popular platforms cTrader and TradingView, which I prefer due to their advanced charting capabilities, social trading features, and seamless integration.

From my hands-on tests, I’ve found MT4 and MT5 on FreshForex are robust, reliable, and perform well with low latency on orders, making them suitable for both manual and automated trading.

Yet, the limited platform choices mean traders wanting more innovative or visually rich trading environments must look elsewhere.

The lack of a proprietary beginner-friendly platform could also make the onboarding process more challenging for newcomers accustomed to modern UI designs and integrated tutorial support seen in best-in-class brokers.
