What markets do people target for their day trading strategies?

For me it’s large cap US stocks and the big cryptos (BTC, ETH etc). I also swing trade indices in the US and Europe.

The most lucrative assets to day trade can vary depending on market conditions, individual trading strategies, and personal preferences.

However, I like to trade major forex pairs day-to-day because you can quickly build a small account using high leverage. My bread and butter income, however, is swing trading major indices and US stocks.

I’ve found it difficult to make decent returns day trading stocks unless you have a large account or ‘gamble’ on penny stocks.

Hi, recently I’ve been experimenting with exotics, largely AUDMXN and USDTRY but it can be a tough gig. On the one hand there can be great volatility opportunities but then the spreads can really eat your profits if you’re not careful. I’ve also run into slippage issues when volumes are low.

Blue chips is where I’ve had the most success. Yeah they might be less volatile than smaller stocks but I find the patterns are more established and there’s so much news around them there are still plentiful opportunities.
