"Revolut is a cut above the competition for mobile traders, sporting a genuinely intuitive app, five pricing plans to suit different needs (Standard, Plus, Premium, Metal and Ultra), custom alerts, company performance metrics, financial news, and interactive quizzes. Pros
The app delivers a superb investing environment with a slick design and a packed ‘Discover’ section with daily top movers, collections like ‘Technology’ and ‘Utilities’ and popular stocks. Revolut offers one of the smoothest fully digital sign-up processes we’ve seen, kickstarted through a QR code and taking less than 5 minutes. Trade a growing roster of 2000+ stocks, 185+ cryptos and precious metals like gold, silver and platinum with fees starting from 0%. Revolut uses cutting-edge security features with multiple layers, from PINs and passcodes to biometrics and one-time passwords, with $590M saved in fraudulent transactions.	Trade Republic is trusted, with authorization from Germany’s BaFin, a ‘green tier’ regulator in line with Day Trading.com’s Regulation & Trust Rating, while up to €100,000 is available in investor compensation. The investment offering at Trade Republic is head and shoulders above most competitors, with 8000+ stocks, 500+ ETFs, 40,000+ derivatives and 50+ cryptos. Trade Republic has clearly invested in its mobile trading environment with a sleek and ultra-modern mobile app that features simple navigation and an easy-to-use interface. You can earn up to 3.75% interest on unlimited cash balances with payments paid monthly and zero restrictions on withdrawals.
Cons
The Revolut app is an excellent starting point for casual investors but testing reveals its charting package falls short for advanced traders with just two charts (line and candlestick) and six timeframes (1D to 5Y). While the range of shares, commodities and cryptocurrencies is growing, Revolut still lacks popular asset classes like ETFs and does not support margin trading, trailing alternatives like Trade Republic. Some users may find Revolut’s pricing structure confusing; while basic accounts have zero monthly fees, you may need to pay for foreign exchange beyond the specified limit and ATM withdrawals.	The lack of demo account and threadbare education reduces its appeal to newer traders, especially compared to brokers like eToro with its $100K simulator, zero time limit and stacked academy. Despite telephone and email assistance, Trade Republic still needs to improve its customer support, with no live chat available during testing and a fairly basic help centre which may deter aspiring investors. Trade Republic lacks the comprehensive financial solutions available at alternatives, notably Revolut with limited foreign exchange services, multi-currency accounts, and premium banking solutions.
