Plus500 Releases New ESG Trading Suite

Top-rated broker, Plus500, has launched a new ESG trading suite. The latest products and tools reflect the growing interest in socially responsible investing.

ESG Impact Indices

The new indices span increasingly popular sectors, including global warming reduction, poverty reduction, and sustainable resources. In total, there are five new indices, allowing traders to build a diverse portfolio.

  • Global Warming Reduction Index – Monitors US companies involved in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions
  • Quality Of Life Index – Monitors US companies involved in increasing consumers’ quality of life
  • Sustainable Resources Index – Monitors US companies involved in enhancing resource sustainability
  • Poverty Reduction Index – Monitors US companies involved in initiatives to reduce poverty
  • Diversity and Inclusion Index – Monitors US companies involved in improving inclusion for overlooked parts of society

The broker’s ESG Impact Indices are available on the OTC trading platform and share dealing solution.

ESG Scoring

Plus500 has also added data-driven scoring so that investors can assess firms across Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations.

The ratings range from 1 to 10 and are compiled in partnership with data analytics provider, FactSet. They essentially offer a view of a stock or index’s ability to create returns over the long term.

Plus500 CEO, David Zruia, commented on the new offering: “We know that our customers are increasingly interested in ESG investing and trading and want to better understand the level of sustainability that companies are meeting before making a decision.”
