IC Markets has teamed up with London-based Pelican Trading to provide a new social trading app, IC Social. Users can join active communities to learn from seasoned traders while copying strategies into their own accounts. The IC Social app is available from the Apple App Store and Google Play.

The social trading application allows users to trade within an online community. Traders can chat, ask questions and exchange ideas through instant messaging. Clients can also join new trading groups and receive updates on their feeds.

IC Social facilitates 24/7 copy trading on hundreds of popular assets, including stocks, forex and precious metals. Users can view the open positions, monthly returns, overall profitability, and instruments traded by professional traders. With the social element, clients can also interact with seasoned traders.

Importantly, the IC Social app is home to several risk management tools, including warning level, soft stop level and hard stop level. Users can choose how much they wish to trade and retain control over their funds.

For experienced traders, sharing signals such as entry and exit times and prices is straightforward. IC Social essentially provides a marketplace where you can promote your strategies and let other traders copy your positions for a small commission.

Getting Started

To start copy trading and interacting with users, new clients will need to:

  1. Register for an IC Markets account – As well as basic contact information, traders will need to provide supporting documents, including copies of their ID and address. Once approved, make a deposit using a bank card, wire transfer, or one of the broker’s supported e-wallets. The minimum deposit is $200.
  2. Connect your MT4 account and IC Social profile – Link your IC Markets MT4 account to IC Social by entering your registered login details in the iOS or Android app. Then simply choose a trader to copy and start interacting with other investors.
