Qualification Criteria
The virtual private server is free to traders that maintain an account balance of $5000 or equivalent currency. Users must also trade a minimum of 5 standard round turn lots or 500 micro round turn lots each month. Qualifying traders can request the free VPS through the Members Area.
Traders that do not meet the account and volume criteria can also apply for the VPS, but there will be a $28 monthly fee. XM will debit the amount from traders’ MT4/MT5 accounts on the first day of each month.
How To Connect Your VPS
Users can get started in four steps:
- On your device, click the ‘Start’ button and type ‘Remote Desktop Connection’ in the dialog box. This should bring up the option for remote desktop connection.
- Once in the Remote Desktop Connection window, enter the XM VPS IP address that the broker will have provided, then select ‘Connect’.
- Enter your VPS login username and password. XM will send login credentials when you apply and qualify for the VPS service.
- When you connect for the first time, you might receive a security prompt. Simply confirm that you would like to connect.
