I’ve been at the day trading gig a while now and would be great to get peoples views and experiences on how long does it take to become consistently profitable in day trading?

This is an impossible question my friend, ain’t nobody going to be able to answer this one for you.

It entirely depends on you. How effective your strategy is. How good your wallet management is. How generous God is feeling on any given day.

I’ve had good months followed by disastrous months and then back again. The best thing you can do is look at your results over the long run and I mean really long run, many months or even yeas.

Thank you for your message.

There is no set timeframe to making more money than you lose short-term trading. Some may see positive results in months while plenty of traders never achieve profitability. You should expect that it could take years of learning and practice.

This is why risk management is essential. Some traders also chose to diversify their strategies so as not to rely only on day trading for income.
