eToro is not designed for active day trading. It’s more for investing over months and years.
However, it can be a viable platform for swing trading over a few days due to its commission-free trading of real stocks and support for fractional shares.
From my experience, it offers a super user-friendly interface and access to a vast library of assets.
However, its trade execution speeds and spreads are nowhere as competitive as those on platforms specifically designed for active trading.
Sometimes, I’ve had to wait up to 2-5 minutes for a trade to execute (open or close), specifically when the US session opens.
Additionally, I’ve noticed lag during high market volatility, which could affect quick trades.
