Paul Holmes
Paul brings over 15 years experience in the online trading industry, including as an active trader and as a brokerage expert running hands-on tests of many major trading platforms.
As a trader, he initially concentrated on major indices and sectors, trading through spread betting firms. He then went on to specialize in the forex market, developing his own proprietary techniques for day trading.
This curiosity led Paul to develop skills in technical and fundamental analysis and extended to developing algorithmic trading models using the popular MetaTrader platforms.
In his role evaluating online brokers, Paul has opened dozens of trading accounts, placed hundreds of trades for test purposes, and evaluated trading platforms side-by-side with practical insights and user-driven ratings.
Combined with his background providing market analysis and trading school programs for prominent brokers, Paul is adept at creating accessible guides, broker reviews, and informative insights for traders at every level.
When he’s not at work, Paul enjoys spending time with his children, listening to live music, and digging into cars. He also enjoys travelling, with frequent trips to Europe.
