Investment And Wealth Management Awards 2018

Investment And Wealth Management Awards 2018

The Financial Times conduct the Investment And Wealth Management Awards each year, recognising the best of the best. From managers, to brokers and online platform operators, the awards are a sought after accolade for many in the financial services industry. So where did the gongs go this year?

Best Forex

Shortlisted for the award of Best Forex Operator were: ETX Capital, Oanda and FXPro, with the latter winning the award for the fifth straight year. With growing competition and an ever changing marketplace, innovation will remain important. Forex services now include large single foreign transactions, not just those who want to trade and speculate on the retail market.

City Index and CMC were both shortlisted for the ‘Best Trading App’ award, but this was again retained, this time by London based IG Group, who also deliver Nadex to the US market.

Best Spread Betting Provider

IG won the Best Spread Betting Provider, based on the advanced trading platform they deliver. The judges noted however, that shortlisted firms ETX Capital, City Index and SpreadEx all deliver cutting edge trading tools too, in another category which is becoming ultra-competitive.

Best CFD Provider went to CMC Markets in something of a surprise. Beating City Index and ETX Capital from the shortlist. Judges noted the customisable platform and tight spreads as two reasons for their choice of best provider.

DayTrading.com Awards

Some of this year’s awards, or judges reasoning, highlighted the changing landscape of retail trading. Areas that would perhaps be less relevant for active traders are now swaying the votes. For this reason, we have decided to commence our own Awards and will have exciting news in the new year, confirming our views on the best platforms for day traders and active investors around the world.
