The multi-asset, multi-regulated brokerage firm eToro has recently unveiled a spate of new sports partnership deals with major Italian football clubs. The portfolio expansion includes eight Serie A football teams and will cover the coming 2021/22 season.
The Italian Regional Manager at eToro, Emanuela Manor, stated that “eToro believes that sponsorships are a powerful tool for connecting with the communities at the very heart of a sport. With more people than ever engaging with the capital markets this year, financial education has never been so important. We will be working with the clubs to make the financial markets more accessible, bringing fans closer to the action and educating them on investing.”
The eight clubs to become official partners with eToro thanks to a significant investment will be Bologna, Cagliari, Genoa, Sampdoria, Sassuolo, Spezia, Udinese, Verona and Salernitana, with whom the broker has an LED only deal.
The new deals will be a great marketing opportunity for eToro, including global exposure through media backdrops, tickets, matchday LED boards and digital rights, allowing the broker to better connect with the fanbase of Italian premier football. These partnerships will join the already impressive portfolio of global sports deals covering several European football clubs and Rugby Australia.
eToro is a well-regarded, international brokerage firm offering trading services encompassing equity investments like stocks, indices and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), forex trading in more than 50 major, minor and exotic currency pairs, cryptocurrency assets and commodities. These assets are offered both as investments and leveraged CFDs, providing the opportunity to speculate on both bullish and bearish markets.
eToro clients can also benefit from financial regulation from CySEC (and therefore the ESMA), the FCA and ASIC, all of which are renowned regulators. While this brings some limitations, such as leverage caps and crypto derivatives banning, international traders can still access leverage rates up to 1:100 and CFDs on major cryptocurrencies.
